90-100%: A

80-89%: B

70-79%: C

60-60%: D

0-59%: F

Grade Distribution:

Homework/Classwork - 25%
(This section will include written assignments, map analysis, and reading assignments.)
Quizzes - 20%
(These will include traditionaly quizzes and some written assignments that will test their knowledge on certain concepts and topics.)
Projects - 25%
(Projects are especially important in social studies because it allows the students to put the concepts and skills in practice in a real-world situation.)
Tests - 30%

Students and their parents will be able to check grades on the school website (to be determined upon hire) and on Edmodo.com.



Late Assignment Policy:
For each day an assignment or project is late, a letter grade will be taken off the student's grade.
Make-up Work:
In order for a student to make up assignments or tests, they will need an excused absence.
For a test, the student has 3 school days to schedule a make-up test with the teacher. It is the student's responsibility to schedule the test. They can take the test before school, after school, or during a non-academic class. The test they take will be different from the orignial test.
In order for a student to make up an assignment, the student will need to turn the assignment into the teacher the following day. In certain circumstances, students will get extensions for make-up assignments but it is only at the teacher's discretion.


Accomodation: All policies are subject based on school policy upon hire. Once the school year starts, the grading system will not change. However the system is subject to change before the start of the next year.
